The greenhouse gases emitted by companies are divided into three categories;
Scope 1 – direct emissions of their own factories, offices, vehicles, etc.
Scope 2 – indirect emissions from the use of electricity supplied and emitted by other companies
Scope 3 – indirect emissions other than scopes 1 and 2 in the supply chain from raw material procurement to product disposal by companies (other than the company).
In order to comprehensively reduce emissions, efforts targeting up to Scope 3 are becoming widespread, taking into consideration the entire supply chain.
