Recordings&Materials available | Ask the Experts! Q&A Session to Better Understand the SBTi Net-Zero Standard
On March 18, 2025, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)—a global initiative promoting science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets for companies—released a draft revision of its Corporate Net-Zero Standard. The first public consultation period ends on June 1, after which the draft will be revised and pilot-tested, followed by a second round of public consultation before it is finalized.
Japan has the highest number of companies engaged with the SBTi in the world. Preparing for this revision now is crucial not only for Japanese companies to effectively advance their decarbonization efforts, but also to continue being chosen as business and investment partners, thereby contributing to decarbonization both in Japan and worldwide.
This webinar aims to deepen understanding of the proposed revisions and encourage more Japanese companies to actively adopt the new Corporate Net-Zero Standard. Experts, including representatives from the SBTi, answered as many of your questions as possible.
